In the final round, Britney and Gaga duked it out for the title, but only one could prevail as the winner — and that honor went to Ms. Britney Spears. ‘Baby One More Time’ garnered more than 57% of votes in the championship round, all thanks to the die-hard passion of the Britney Army.
Over the past month, 32 of the best songs in pop music history have gone head-to-head in March Music Madness. The hit songs were divided up by decade, with eight songs competing in each decade. ‘Baby One More Time’ beat the Spice Girls‘ ‘Wannabe,’ Hanson‘s ‘MMMBop’ and the Backstreet Boys‘ ‘I Want It That Way’ to ultimately triumph in the ’90s bracket.
