Tässäpä ensimmäisiä arvioita Perfume-sinkusta, ja superpositiivisiahan ne ovat. Kappale ei jostain syystä enää näy Britneyn Facebook-sivulla, joten tässä väliaikainen linkki siksi aikaa.
So please, break out the “Everytime” promotional tissues, grab the Holy Spearit rosary beads off the shelf and prepare your bodies for salvation, ’cause Godney’s come to deliver our tears in the form of the sweetest, saddest song you’ve ever heard — or smelled.
Spears’ singing is as strong as it has ever been here (let the guessing begin on how much it was doctored in the studio) and this is the best song she’s done in years. Plus, given how successful Spears’ several lines of cologne are, we can only imagine the tie ins planned between song and the scents. Let the cross-branding begin!
The singer just released her second single from her upcoming album, “Britney Jean,” and it’s a power ballad filled with insecurity. We gotta say, Britney’s vocals sound great on this — she hasn’t released a true ballad since 2004’s “Everytime,” so it’s nice to have them back.
Spears was quite the balladeer on her first albums “…Baby One More Time” and “Oops!… I Did It Again” and she finds her voice once again on this revealing single, giving her best vocal performance in recent years. Fans wanted a more personal “Britney Jean” and they get the real Britney down to her very essence on the beautifully stunning tune “Perfume.”
After Britney Spears commanded her millions of followers to work, bitch on her first “Britney Jean” single, the pop superstar has spritzed the gliding mid-tempo ballad “Perfume” as the second offering from her eighth studio album, due out Dec. 3. Produced by Will.i.am and co-written by Spears and recent Billboard cover star Sia, “Perfume” (which you can listen to right here) allows Spears to momentarily discard the confident exterior of “Work Bitch” and express vulnerability over “paranoid” feelings about her romantic interest
I’m not sure I’ve ever heard Britney’s voice sound so strong and sincere. She’s lost that robotic, emotionless, bored tone to her voice we’ve heard in recent years, gaining pure emotion, power and strength in her voice. You can really tell that she’s passionate about this song and put her all in to it, which convinces me that maybe we actually will get that “personal” album she’s been promising.
